Here's a pic of Refugio on 12/23/01 where we had the 2001 Glidefest last October. It was pretty fun, the Squirrel surfed it for the first time, he's stoked!

It's been big down here lately but kinda walled so I've been wondering what Refugio might look like. Now that the truck has a new trans, radiator and mufflers I should probably take a little road trip.

Went out twice on Chrstmass Day @ Bolsa. Serious paddle out!!! FA-RATE-TRAYNE-LEFTS!!!
i caught some juicy salt creek and bolsa on christmas and the weeks following...lotta sand in my suit from the creek, and a snapped 6'1"
Christmas was flat and cold...but it was wet and fun too!
Lol...all i could find was a spring suit!:laugh:
you should help that Nectar guy as his worries of freezing to death in the East Coast waters I think has stopped him short - see the "first wetsuit" thread :laugh:

Here's two shots I took off the Diamond Head Lookout yesterday. Those waves out there have about 10' faces. You can see a windsurfer in the bottom of one. f you squint, there's a surfer bottom turning on the right, right in the hook.
O.K.. here's a shot looking East. That's Koko Head in the way background. Nice beach in the foreground, hmmm?
Went to watch the sunset tonight at Portlock Point, and the spot called China Walls was breaking. This is a hairball takeoff, right next to this 10' lava wall. Guys who surf it say it's no big deal, but I don't know. I'd hate to blow the takeoff...
Here's a set wave preparing to unload.. It's gonna hit that shelf and just heave.

Here's 2 more from the same day. Basically these guys drop in RIGHT next to the wall, and make the hairball turn going super fast. Then big cutback, and another run on a fast wall.
#3..the bottom of the wave is right at the corner of the pic! Nice size!
Here's a pretty shot..guy has made the cutback and is getting ready for the insde run; you can see Diamond Head way off in the distance.
Just keep 'em coming!!
That last picture is just amazing. I just can't wait to get to Oahu...
