    My T. S.

I opted for the 7.5 oz. Volan glass job and super green foam, low rails that are soft and round, but blend into hard edges in the very tail. The board is very fast (even paddling), catches waves easily and is very comfortable for me in anything from 2- 10 foot. It seems the faster it goes the better it feels. Due to the extreemly flat bottom, it is better in glassy conditions and I generally go to a heavier board with some belly or vee in choppy water. Robert @ Harbour Surfboard Shop in Seal Beach has always been a pleasure to do business with or even to BS with and I'm sure you will find everybody @ the store helpfull and full of stoke. Don't always listen to me though...I like riding ironingboards. :eye:

Ron, I've been showing that post to my buddies and you should know that thier mouths all fall wide open and they drool like a fat cat watching a crowded bird bath. Do it again!

Those were all taken on June 4. It's super small up here now too.
I'm ready for some size again!

Yesterday I was deciding on whether to go to sandys or stay in town and surf kaisers. I decided on kaisers because I thought that sandys would be blown out... Doesn't look like it in this photo by happy zurowski.

    I haven't gone surfing in a long while :(

Hello all! It's been quite a while...

Awe! Your photos are AMAZING!!! And they're sequence shots too... I need to get back in the water soon.... The last time I surfed was April. Photos came out in a local magazine though, so things might be turning up in that direction. Hopefully by september they'll have the international comp in Cloud 9. Meanwhile, I've tried to do a spot of street performing (earned a whopping Php 1.25 ; US$ = PHP 56.odd, given that exchange rate... I think it's a little under 2 cents... bah! :eye: )

So here's a somewhat unrelated photo (it may help get me to a surf spot yet!). And hopefully more by next week on a local (to me anyway) surf spot. Unless work comes along...

Here's the closest I got to the water in the last couple of weeks. Photographed a fisherman for work. An octopus caught my foot while I was wading in... I lost a bit of composure, he lost a couple of tentacles. We're even!

Kathy, that spinning fire picture is too cool - it is amazing and fantastic - you do that here in Santa Barbara and you would definitely make more than 2 cents!!!!

Of course, they may arrest you for running a fire without a liscense or some nonsense.

But, thanks for sharing dat - keep 'em coming.

Also, Awe, I believe you are incomparable for getting great shots posted here - are you going to get a photo album published someday?

Thanks to everyone for keeping a thread like this alive - it is one of my favorites.

I agree with SoupMonKey - that street scene pic is awesome. I can feel the vibe in the rings of fire. The golden light in the fisherman pic is cool as well. Keep 'em coming and get back into the water soon!

SoupMonKey, I'm not sure where I'm going with the photog thing yet, just started it a few months ago and really like it and we were blessed with some really good swell. It makes me wanna quit my day job (or did I already?) and really get into it. Soon perhaps, I'm just takin' it one day at a time lately.

I've shot some vid with the camera, but the frame speed is too slow for really decent quality so I'll have to hold off on vids for a while but want to get into that as well.

What we really need right now though are
    WAVES

    Surfing in the tropics

Here's a photo from the set that ran in a magazine. This is Cemento/Cobra reef break. (Where they shot bits of Apocalypse Now)

The surfer is Rommel Rojo (He won that event too!). It's great to surf in warm water but sometimes I wish I could wear a wet suit so I don't have to deal with the jellyfish (or octopi)

    Can't wait for next weekend!

    Amen.

After checking the data on the net, I don't think much is happening until Monday (that will be the day I make my Traditional B-Day Trip To Magic Mountain - but it should be going strong for me on Tuesday), but at least Monday looks like it might be at least 'fair' for the rest of you around here in Lakeville.

    Wow, that is too cool.

One more...this is Father's day. Chelsea held the camera out and took a pic of herself. I just love her. I "was" in the background with the most stunod look on my face. Thank God for cropping.

Excellent photo of your daughter Red . I'm a big fan of non-smiling photos - somehow they capture the feeling of the person's face better.
