The Glide is an online surfing community/e-zine where you can read news, articles, chat with friends, blog, upload photos, create groups and much more. The Glide is intended to keep the aloha spirit of surfing alive. We simply want to provide a service that everyone can enjoy and use.
The Glide is a non profit privately funded site. With our limited budget, we try our best to keep the site updated and expanding with new features. We always listen to our users and try to keep it as the majority wants.
The Glide was launched in March 2000 and has been rapidly growing. We are constantly getting support by surfers and by businesses in the surfing industry and have been given contributions by both amateur and professional individuals. Many contributors simply want to support us and be a part of our website, even though we are unable to financially compensate for their work. We would like to thank all of our contributors, without your support The Glide wouldn't be so vibrant and full of energy.
We hope The Glide will keep expanding and become a great online community/resource for surfers around the globe.
